November 11, 2019

On November 10 (Sun), at the 60th. Annual Meeting for the Japanese Society of Tropical Medicine held in Okinawa, a workshop “Perspective of a research network on NTDs in Japan” was hosted by JAGntd.

After keynote speeches given by Mr. Kondo, UNDP Representative in Japan, Mr. Urabe from GHIT Fund, Mr, Hiraoka from JICA and Prof. Anang from Ghana Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research, an open discussion was held on how the researchers of tropical medicine can be involved in and contribute to access and delivery of medical supplies.

For smooth linkage from R&D to access and delivery, the meeting recommended that Japanese researchers on NTDs be more interested in contributing to A&D. JAGntd will promote this movement.
