The Kigali Summit on Malaria and NTDs on 25 June 2020 is postponed

Dear valued partner,

We hope you and your families are keeping well and staying safe during this ongoing global pandemic.

We are writing to you with a status update of the Kigali Summit on Malaria and NTDs scheduled for June 25 2020 in Kigali, Rwanda.

As you know, the summit was being organised on the margins of the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) scheduled for 22 – 27 June 2020, in order to maximise the opportunity for Heads of Government participation and engagement on NTDs and Malaria.

Following the recent announcement by the Government of Rwanda that the 26th CHOGM and associated events will now be postponed due to COVID-19, we would like to let you know that our physical summit on Malaria and NTDs will no longer be going ahead as planned in Kigali, Rwanda on 25 June.

We will come back to you with further information in due course on the new arrangements but wanted to let you know about the postponement. We are working closely with the Government of Rwanda, the Uniting Board and our Malaria partners on the next steps.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these trying times.

With best wishes,

Uniting to Combat NTDs secretariat
