【About World NTD Day】
January 30 is designated by the World Health Organization (WHO) as World NTD Day.
Under the 2026 global theme “Unite, Act, Eliminate.”, initiatives are being carried out around the world to eliminate Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs).
This webinar, organized by the Japan Organizing Committee, aims to raise awareness and promote action toward the control and elimination of NTDs.

【The 3rd NTD Awareness Contest】
On World NTD Day 2026 (January 30), the Japan Organizing Committee will host
“The 3rd NTD Awareness Contest.”
Through social media posts and creative works, the contest aims to deepen public understanding of
Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) — illnesses that continue to affect millions of people around the world —
and to encourage broader societal awareness and behavioral change.
Entries are accepted in two categories: General and Student.
Winning works will be announced on the official website.

【Partners】
The Japan Organizing Committee for World NTD Day operates under the auspices of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan,
in collaboration with a wide range of partners including public institutions, research organizations, corporations, and student associations.
JAGntd (Japan Alliance on Global NTD Elimination) also participates as one of the partner organizations,
supporting the initiative through research collaboration and public engagement.

【Past Activities】
Over the years, World NTD Day has featured numerous awareness and educational events,
as well as international symposia and research collaborations related to NTDs.
Through these activities, JAGntd continues to promote visibility of NTD-related issues and strengthen multi-sectoral collaboration among academia, government, and industry.
