SDGs Promise Japan (SPJ) is holding an online seminar series "Thinking about Global Health in the Age of With Corona: Infectious Diseases and Human Security" (past seminar YouTube available).

The 11th time in the series will be on Thursday, July 15, 2021.Problems of Japanese politics and administration revealed by infectious disease countermeasures", A professor at the National Graduate Institute for Policy StudiesJun IioWill be the instructor!

[Profile of Professor Iio] Born June 29, 1962 in Kobe. Graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Tokyo. Completed doctoral course at the University of Tokyo, Ph.D. (law). After working as an assistant professor at Saitama University and an assistant professor at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, he has been a professor at the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies since 2000. He has also served as a visiting researcher at Harvard University, a vice president of the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, a chairman of the government's Reconstruction Design Council for East Japan Earthquake Review Department, and a reconstruction promotion committee member. Also serves as a visiting professor at the Open University of Japan.

Books: "Revised Modern Japanese Politics" (Broadcasting University Education Promotion Association, 2019), "Modern Japan Policy System: From Imitation to Creation" (Chikuma Shinsho, 2013, Received the Public Policy Studies Association Japan Award), " Japan's governing structure: From bureaucratic cabinet system to parliamentary cabinet system ”(Chuko Shinsho, 2007, won the Suntory Arts Award and the Yomiuri Yoshino Sakuzo Award) and many others.
