The Economist magazine has published a report on NTDs measures and economic development in Africa. According to the report, if schistosomiasis and soil-borne parasites are successfully controlled in Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda and Zimbabwe by 2030, the GDP of these four countries will increase by US $ 5.1 billion by 2040.
