５つの疾患は①ビルハルツ住血吸虫症②腸内寄生虫③リンパ系フィラリア症④トラコーマ⑤オンコセルカ症で、Uniting to Combat Neglected Tropical Diseasesのランキングを元にしています。

このランキングでは、サブサハラ・アフリカ地域のブルンジ・マラウイがランキングの上位国であった。一方で、南アフリカやケニア等の国はランキングの上位ではなかった。
